Reptiles Farm Limited is the only major commercial producer of Crocodylus Porosus (saltwater crocodile) in Bangladesh. Our aim is to commercially produce and display Bangladesh’s largest reptile in a sustainable manner, while protecting and promoting Bangladesh's wild crocodile population.

Every decade seems to bring few truly innovative business models that help Bangladesh bring lasting change in the economic landscape. Reptiles Farm Ltd. is one such company- that has established the country’s first crocodile farm at Bhaluka in Mymensingh district with 75 imported adult saltwater crocodiles as its brood stock. Mushtaq Ahmed had the dream of this enterprise, which he transformed into a viable business plan. Mesbahul Hoque, the founder chairman, came forward as angel investor and provided policy guidelines to the company. What is most impressive about Reptiles Farm is how its sponsors attracted a small number of dedicated and passionate people to drive their vision. The large number of local people who worked as day labourers in the early days of RFL deserves credit for their contribution. Rural people in the neighborhood are always helpful when ever their help is needed. Hoque and Ahmed, a combination of two generations, have built a company that proved it standards by supplying its crocodiles to Heidelberg University in Germany.

Reptiles Farm Limited does not take any crocodiles from the wild and fulfils the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) and CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) criteria for self contained breeding farms.
